Ghana Wesley United Choir Shines at 5th Annual Christmas Concert

The tradition of the Christmas Candlelight Concert enables Christians all over the world to celebrate the warm spirit of the season in a majestic setting and enjoy jubilant, wondrous music reminiscent of the birth of Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, December 1st,  2018  the Ghana Wesley United Choir invoked the Christmas holiday spirit with a Christmas Concert under the theme  “ A Christmas Concert” featuring three guests choirs from the community  performing sacred and contemporary  pieces in celebration of the season

The Ghana United Methodist Church Choir conducted by Mr. Ebenezer Allotey a renowned music Director set the event in motion with a splendid performance of a repertoire of songs that swept the entire congregation and guests on their feet. Their towering voices filled the auditorium with admiration

 

The anchoring purpose of the evening to rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated in songs such as “O Come All Ye Faithful,”  “Break forth, O beauteous heavenly light”
blending with traditional and inspirational songs reminiscent of the holiday season.

The Ghana Wesley United Methodist Choir celebrated the evening’s event with their guests from Alfred Street Baptist Church Choir,  Ghana Catholic Community Choir both from Alexandria  Alexandria, Virginia and the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Choir, from Woodbridge, Virginia.

The event was held at the St. Paul United Methodist Church on  1400 G Street, Woodbridge Virginia.
